I am just curious why there are always people prefer to say something bad to female masters. like boring, old-fashioned, bad-looking(if not ugly).
the fashion in our college is like " I am pretty and I am smart, I have handsome boyfriend, and there are still a lot of guys want to date with me". I think it is similar in all campus around the world.

to show you are smart, you need get a high mark, naturely leading to a master degree, which can offer you much higher salary than your peer, then you have freedom to spend as much as you like in clothes, bags and cosmetics.

当时女研究生楼叫广寒宫，我看我们的形象，大致分3种：1种穿着短白袜子，裙子，沿袭本科生的清纯形象；第2种穿着地摊买的时装，有个阿姨经常在食堂旁边摆摊子贩卖这种衣服，街上小店也不少；第3种穿得很好，套装或者好些的休闲装，这种人很少。化妆大家都不怎么会，偶尔涂一下唇膏，不一定和服装搭配。
说实话，读到研究生，漂亮女生已经更少了，比率问题。赵薇那个形象，算是给女研究生争脸了。

中大，我一直在大学呆着，不得不承认，气质斯文书卷气并不是读书就能熏出来的，很多研究生博士生，看不出任何异于红尘的味道，大部分就是滚滚人群中，随便抬起的一张脸 -linshell(shell); 2003-9-28 {699} (#1389955@0)
大部分人需要更长时间，才有东西沉淀在脸上。中年以上的教师，开始看着不同了。而美丽的女孩子，有更好的出路和更多的机会，很少念到硕士和博士，读上来的女生男生，还有不少是由于国家分配政策，比如某些省得必须得回去服务等，才不得不念个硕士什么的。所以，这个群体并没什么不同的风貌。
女研究生或者女博士女学者，远没有人们相像的那么绮丽，什么样呢，记得前几年广州某大报3/8访问我们学校一个中年的女教授，她说的话大致是：我不知道是怎么回事，只是眼睁睁看着很多埋头读书的女生，像黄瓜一样慢慢奄答了，很少男人追。
有一点心酸，在高校看到太多这样的读书多的女性的例子，她们面貌平凡，没有条件也没有资质，所以也就没有世俗的美丽过，青春就那么枯萎了。
所以屏幕上的女研究生，什么样子，都不出奇。赵mm那个扮相，看着还有点斯文呢。
