mafan & silkysky,thank you very much.My fiance is an US citizen,he has submitted a petition for K1 visa for me in this Jan.But unfortunately,we have waited for almost one year,and I just got my P3 a few days ago,and I still need to wait for my P4 for interview.I really hope I can get the K1 visa in Guangzhou before March,2004(my canada visa deadline).If not,I would have to move to Canada first,and then I wouldn't know how to do next after I arrive in Canada,apply K1 again or try to get a travel visa to US?It really bothers me now.
Anyway,thanks for your suggestion.

我是今年8月拿到了加拿大技术移民签证，要求我明年4月前登陆。我的未婚夫同时也在为我办理美国的K1签证，K1签证是2003年1月29日正式受理，8月29日通过NVC的背景调查寄往广州美国领事馆，但至今广州美领没有任何消息，发email就说还没有我的记录，据说K1的签证速度很慢。请教各位，我是先登陆加拿大，然后在加拿大申请去美国快呢还是留在广州等K1快？
一、如果去加拿大，我一定要申请K1去美国还是可以申请旅游签证，旅游签证可以在美国结婚并留在那里吗？最快要多长时间可以过去美国？
二、如果在加拿大继续申请K1，那么我目前申请的K1资料会转往加拿大美领吗？还是要重新申请？我的个人资料还要加拿大政府重新出给美国领事馆吗？
谁有这方面的经验请赐教，非常感谢！

1)B2 travel visa apply in canada is ok. but they may deny your application because of your immigration intension.

2) don't suggest apply k1 again in canada. that takes time. you still can atten visa interview in Guangzhou.

3) bear in mind. K1 visa has lot of restrictions. you have to marry within 3 months or leave the country. and K1 can NOT change to ANY other type of non-immigration visa. even you want to marry another US citizen that still will have lot of difficulties.

you should come to Canada first and then get married in Canada, and then ask him to file a petition for you if he is an US citizen, it will take around a year to get your immigration visa (if he is a green card holder then you will have to wait for at least four years before they can process your petition, in this case, you will need to decide yourself . if you want to wait for the K1 you will have to married him within 90 days and you will need to wait four year for them to process you immigration matter).

In any case, I will still suggest you to come to Canada first, if you go to the states with a visa other then an immigration visa, it will cost you a lot of works and troubles.

I think you should married and ask him to file a petition for your immigration visa not for the visitor visa, if you want more inf. visit www.ilw.com under discussion then you will know if you don't start right then you are asking for troubles.
