美国大部份地区教师公务员工资比私企低，但有pension退休福利好稳定，只占一头。不像加拿大中小学教师公务员比私企同类工作工资高，pension 稳定也有，是大政府，所以税收高经济竞争没活力

美国各村教育费用自治，自己定薪水标准，富裕非富裕村差距自然就大了。本村算可以，知名人士一堆，不少本地养老。进来也都是关系户，或本高中毕业，来了都老死退休才有空位出来。
