太太曾经说，如果生活在古代，在有科考之前，你的基因不知道怎么能传下去，手无缚鸡之力不说，还非常的不协调，如果靠自己打粮食抓兔子才能活下去，是会早早就饿死的。
人贵有自知之明吧，所以我没敢学医，没敢学工，没学任何需要动手的事情。即使学电脑，也很少真正编过程，上学毕业后，就没再从事过太过需要具体技术的事情。动动笔杆子，copy & paste, 还行。
在加拿大这个极其需要DIY的地方，我生活中也尽量避开了几乎一切需要手工能力的事情，遇到需要自己换把锁的时候，曾经折腾了一天，跑了若干趟轮胎店，买了若干个工具，最后还是太太搞定的。
所以，我几乎从不去野外，不尝试自己荒野生存能力，不涉水，不爬山。太阳好时，拿出把小椅子，坐在门口，看街上人来人往。
