Thank you, redhill, for all your replys. Now I am in US under J1visa. Before that, I have gotten B1/2 visa for five years(still valid). In my case, I have to apply J1 waiver first and then apply H1B.

It will take long time. And the employer wants me to start work now, of course, it will get paid. Probably the best way for me now is to work under B1 as an intern first before getting the J1waiver and H1B.

There are few international employee in that firm. The other Chinese girl in the firm did her transfer from F1 to H1 all by herself. The employer signed all the letter though.

I am not sure about whether I can use my B1-2 to work before getting the waiver...Sorry, the case is too complicated. When you enter US by B1 last time, what did you said in the customs, travelling for fun or for intern?

someones has 10 yr valid B visa before, once they changed status to F1 and entered US, their B status were void.
I also doubt you can legally use the existing B visa entering again, once one status got void, you must re-apply for it.
You can check with some immigration lawyer or directly contact INS officer.
