story in toronto --3

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛Dear all,

Finally I am here again. I just finished my work for today. Actually I haven't finished yet, as I have a full time training for this whole week, so I have to handle my stuffs after training, but it's already 5 pm. I am so tired now, as I began my training at 8:45 am and I just finished work just now, 7:45 pm. See, I am so tired now, anyway, I am just so curious to find, what other friends react to my last story. So I just can't wait. After work, I came directly to the college's computer lab which is very close to my office in downtown to check. I am so happy to learn, there are many friends who are interested in my story, which encourages me a lot to continue, including sailor. Thanks a lot. So I decide to keep going. No matter how busy I am and how inconvenient it is to me. As I don't have a PC at home, each time I have to go to the college's lab, or the public library to check mails or to the internet. I do have e-mail function in my company's system, but I can only recieve e-mails, at the same time, it's not good to do private things during the office hours. Sorry about that. Once I have time, I will write.

Originally I want to write my story in Chinese, as it's my favorite. But you know what? I can't do that, as those PCs, no matter in the library or in the college, don't have Chinese system. Fortunately I can read it, but I can't write it. So I have to write it in English. Anyway, as long as you guys can understand my feeling, I will be so happy.

I have been very busy, as I will have a mid term exam in accounting in the coming week, and I will write another financial certificate exam at the beginning of next month. Though it's not tough, I have to spend lots of time on it, as I have no idea about Canadian financial system, or even basic knowledge, before I came here, or before I joined my current company. But I am quite lucky, as the guys around me, are experts in this field, so I can keep asking whenever I meet a question. And I am brave, as I don't feel shamed when I ask those stupid questions to them. Those guys are so nice. They just answered me with very good manner. So I like the working atmosphere here. The discrimination is not so severe. By the way, I have a young and handsome boss, who is fr Europe. He is really a nice guy. It's him who gives me chances to develop, otherwise I am still a temp worker in the company, but now I am a contract staff. Next time, I will explain the difference to those friends who don't understand. As the job market is so different fr China. When I was in China, I had a good job in a multinational company. I have been there for almost three years. I like the company. In fact, at the beginning, I would rather not leave it, as it's really a good company. And again, I had a good boss. But finally I am here. Just want a new life. But trust me. Do practice your English before you come here. If you can speak good English, and understand well, it will not be a big problem when you hunt a job. Otherwise, it's really hard. My major is Art, and I think my English is okay when I was in China. But I feel so upset after I came here, as I found strongly, how poor my English was! I have heavy pressure, fr myself. I made up my mind to catch up. So I keep listening to the radio station everyday, and I subscribed the local newspaper everyday, .... After several months, I began to feel more comfortable than before, as I do have a very good English environment. Remember, I am working in a western company now. And I began to make friends with those nice guys. So, learn as much as you can , be prepared for coming here!

Wish you good luck!
