      I have installed 11i sucessfully on my PC but I don't how to use it. Maybe I should have installed VisDemo. It takes quite a long time to get systm up and running.

          to check some of the similar errors that the others had before.
          The installation on MS Windows platforms have some hardware restrictions.
          I can barely installed sucessfully on a PC with 700MB memory and 170GB storage space.

          In the meantime, you should have following software installed on the same host

          nmake -- only version 3.79 works
          c++ 6.0
          mks toolkit 7.5
          JDK 1.3.1_13
