To apply TN, u need the following documents
1, ur canadian passport
2. ur official offer letter
3. A letter from your employer to USCIS, there are many templates online for this letter, u can google it. basically, a few points
* job must be in the category published (see a post this site)
* state clearly this is one year temporary, state from date/todate
* job descriptions,
* bullshit a bit, like u are very improtant to their company, ... blahblah
4. ur official transcript (from ur university sealed and stamped)

and That's it, u can go to the border, talk to the officer and they will give u the TN visa (a I-94 entry/departure card stamped on your passport)

Your empolyer doesn't need to do anything.
