December 31st, 2005 - All citizens (including Canadians and Americans) transiting in the United States en route to or from the Caribbean, Bermuda, Central or South America will require passports

December 31st, 2006 - All citizens (including Canadians and Americans) traveling by air or sea to, from or through the United States will require passports

December 31st, 2007 - All citizens (including Canadians and Americans) traveling by air, sea or land to, from or through the United States will require passports

也就是说2006年底开始，从加拿大去美国乘飞机要护照了。

当然，如果你是持签证的，不论TN/H1还是别的啥，现在就要护照。

Canadian Citizens

Canadian citizens do not need to obtain a visa in advance in order to apply for admission to the United States. A passport is not required to enter the U.S. except after a visit outside the Western Hemisphere. All travelers should be prepared to present documentary evidence of identity, citizenship, and (if applicable) resident status in Canada.
