Please take part in the research on Chinese community's political participation in Canada.

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛As you know, immigration has brought great changes to many aspects of Canadian society, demographically, economically, social and culturally, especially in urban centers like Toronto. One of the biggest challenges facing Toronto is its diversity in terms of immigration population from different countries. It is not only on the immigrants’ part to figure out how to fit Canadian society, but also on the mainstream society’ part to figure out how to accommodate its institutions to diversities that immigrants bring in. As we all see Canada as a democratic country, one question you may ask is whether Canadian democracy is inclusive and representative. Some people think the proportion of politicians from different communities in Canadian government should reflect the communities’ share of population in the regions. According to this opinion, Chinese community is badly under-represented in Canadian political system statistically. So I am interested in knowing how Chinese people themselves see this phenomenon. If you can take a few minutes to filling in the surveys, I will really appreciate your time and efforts. If you have any questions regarding my study, feel free to ask me. If you have questions that come up later after you have done the survey, you are welcome to contact me by my email or by phone. My email address is: l3lin@ryerson.ca.

Anybody who are interested in participate in the research, please PM me or directly email me. You can write in English or Chinese.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
