1) more like a NIC problem than the switch problem
2) start looking from the NIC, like crossover it to another PC and see if you can ping each other, check the link light etc
3) not sure if it is a duplex problem, you can check it though... as if it were a duplex mismatch, you should still be able to ping with lost packets, check "show int fx/x" see what speed/duplex on the port and if there is any lost packets on the interface. the default "auto" should work on most modern NIC; and you can check your PC's NIC duplex setting;

有一台cisco catalyst 3550 switch作为gateway, 网上的一台电脑怎么也ping不通该switch的ip address,因此也无法连接到internet。怀疑是不是cisco switch block了该机器的网卡mac。因为如果加一个网卡到该电脑上面，就可以用新的网卡ping通cisco switch.
