The way how I train my son become gifted kid:

For reading:

Before grade 1, I read books with him every night for around half an hour to 1 hour. The book will be selected to fall into different topic. I usually went to library to choose 30 books a week. My son will choose books he like every day and read with me.

Grade 2, asked my son read book by himself. And recite story detail to me.

Grade 3, just borrow book and ask him to read as many as possible. And sometimes I choose some article from newspaper and discuss with him.

For science, you could buy some science experiment book and do experiment with your kids.

For math, you can get some higher grade math work from China and ask your kid to do it.

For geography, you can buy a map and play find a country game with your kid.

Computer education game also a good tool to teach your kid.

Some book like 1000 question and answer also a good book to play with your kids and enjoy play and learn.

Anyway, I feel gifted kid can be trained as long as your kid is a normal kid. Let them explored more material other than their homework.更多精彩文章及讨论，请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
