Branksome Hall is one of the top girl private schools (equivalent to UCC, a top boy school) in Toronto. If you are seriously considering to send your daughter to a private school,

try to apply for at least three different schools so your daughter could compare and choose the one that fits her the best.

There are two other girl schools worth your consideration, St. Clement and Havagel. You should also consider Co-ed private schools, such as Bayview Glen and Holy Trinity. The tuition fees for these five private schools I mentioned are more or less the same.

My two cents, two of the most important factors to look for, first the distance between your home and the school; second, the background of the families whose kids are attending that school.

You are right. The school facility of St. Clement is far from impressive. However it probably has the most outstanding academic record among all the private schools. In terms of student family background, -mitten(mitten); 2006-11-30 {795} (#3351178@0)
you should be able to find out by attending school open house, talking to local people and researching on Internet etc.

For example, Branksome Hall is located in Rosedale, most of its students come from the most affluent families in Toronto and around the world. Bayview Glen and Holy Trinity have many students from upper middle class professional families, such as doctor, lawyer and accountant (although I am not saying these schools are short of students from rich families).

Anyway, choosing a right private school is a very personal matter, you might value somthing more important than the others. The most important thing is to find the right fit for your kid.

By the way, the application process to a high quality private school can be lengthy and time consuming. Good luck!
