This really makes me mad. she doesn't want to hear when I tell her where is wrong, where need to work on. Her teacher even asked her to write piano journal every day to write what need to work on, what have been improved after practicing how long, etc, but since my daughter doesn't really know what need to work on, plus terrible spelling, so she only wrote once. Even I feel difficult and time consuming to keep track of this too. Sometimes I even feel frustrated when my daughter has worked well on the things her teacher asked her to work on but next class her teacher asks her to work on something new for the same piece. I really wish I could know all the things she need to work on at the first time at this point.

        个人而言,让孩子学琴一是让大脑有个均衡发展,二是help them kill their spare time。所以,刚开始的时候我就跟老师说了,考级不重要,关键是培养兴趣。这样一来大人,小孩,老师都没有压力了。

            很明显,量太大了,孩子已经开始失去兴趣了。这才是开头啊,以后那么多年怎么坚持下去?兴趣是做事的关键,大人是这样,小孩更是如此。

            同一首曲子有不同的要求,这一点挺正常的。

              The class used to be 30 minutes before June, my dughter got sticker at most of the classes and she only practiced half hour each day. But after June, her teacher wanted to push her to take Grade 1 exam this winter, so asked me if we can extend the class to 45 minutes. At the beginning it was OK when she was first learning introductionary, but recent three months, she rarely got stickers, and of course her teacher never mentioned to take Grade 1 exam because she is not ready as she expected. Now she wants to push her to take Grade 2 exam next summer, I mentioned to her some kids don't take exam until Grade 4 or 5, but her teacher said to take lower level exam is better for her to get experience especially if she can get good mark. Therefore, I really want to know how other kids are pushed. I am thinking will my daughter feel interested to watch other kids play the same level and learn from others? How can I know if there are other students' show?
