A small project. Requirement is below

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛Our requirements are as follows:

Calendar documents over 365 days (1 year) will be deleted from the user's mail file.
This includes any associated documents
However, any events that have repeating entries that extend beyond the cutoff should NOT be deleted.

For example, say that a monthly meeting was set up on April 5, 2005 to extends to April 2007
All of the repeating meetings that show up between April , 2005 and March 19, 2006 (1 year ago) would be deleted
(including the original meeting) and
anything younger that a year would be retained.

Any orphan documents associated with the deleted meetings would be deleted.

And, we would like something that is administratively managed.

I hope that this gives you a better idea of our needs. Generally, in the US, new government rules have come into effect
that require policies on retention of email, including calendar events. Most companies will require something in this
area, whether they realize it or not.

Lotus Notes can delete calendar documents using Calendar Cleanup or Archiving
(Purging Calendar documents without archiving them). However, any events with repeating
entries have to be selected and deleted by the user manually. Also, I believe any documents associated
with them become orphan documents and are not cleaned up in the normal course of events.

We use a product called Mail Attender by Sherpa Software that is supposed to cleanup orphan documents.

I have not had a chance to look at your database yet. Unfortunately, I have had a death in my family and will be
leaving for the East Coast this evening. I should be back in the office on Monday, 26. However, I will be available
by email during that time.

I hope that this has been helpful. I look forward to working with you on this.

    • This is darn "professional"...I doubt how could you even get a job...
      • An outsourcing project from an agent who works with manufacturing companies In California. You simply cannot get this for sure because of your ill altitude.
        • You simply put a from-who-knows-where-it-from email, not to mention it also include a little more than anyone should know, and tell us this is a job requirement? 7... If i want someone do a job for me, the first thing is AN INTERVIEW...
          • I guess you mixed up job requirement and program requirement. What I put here is a explicitly simple program description/requirement. Read it carefully before clicking submit button in your reply, dude.
            • maybe you should do the same thing as well, TMI at the end of your 'requirement'...
