Sharing some good non-fiction books read in recent years.

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛Here Be Dragon -- by Peter Newman
Once to be chief editor of Toronto Star and chief editor of Macleans, at ripe age of 75, he gives us his account in recalling his turbulent life, work and marriages. His witty political insight and sense of humor make the book very enjoyable. I dare to compare Peter Newman to Lu Xun, with the difference that Newman is a living soul.

As I am writing this, Charles Simonyi is having a tour in outer space, which costs him 25 million. He was also the only one who rided his private jet to Xerox Parc reunion years later. Simonyi was a scientist in Xerox Parc, and later, joined Microsoft, in charge of Microsoft Office development. This is just one example of how talents were wasted in Xerox Parc and eventually found their ways for a better use.
