To celebrate Chinese New Year, Ivey MBA program office sponsored three dinner parties for all Chinese students.

Meanwhile, to facilitate mutal communication, every Chinese student was required to inivte an non-Chinese students as guess.

During the party, MBA Director gave every Chinese student a HONG BAO. We organized some small games. For example: Giving every table a Chinese name, then asking a non-Chinese to speak it in Chinese and explain its meaning. Telling non-Chinese a story about Chinese history, tradition, etc. "Yes & No" game about Chinese food, furniture, etc. And "Tiger, Chicken, Worm, Stick".

My understanding, "Merging into mainstream" does not only mean "speaking fluent English, having a lot of Canadian friends, earning prestige salary". Letting local people understand our culture, share our value, is another part of the merging process.
