help needed for Google webmaster tool

I have simple website http://www.harpaldharna.ca/. I'm trying to add it to Google Search Index. to do that, I have to verify I am the owner of the website.

According to Google, I added a HTML file named by Google to our website, but there is an error message:

--- start of Google error massage ----------------------------------------
We found a robots.txt file but were unable to download it.

When we accessed your site, we found a robots.txt file. However, we
were unable to read that file due to a server timeout. Make sure that
your server is responding and try again. Note that it may take up to
a day for the new robots.txt file to be processed.
--- end of Google error massage ----------------------------------------

I can view the robots.txt from browser.

Anybody have hint to resolve this problem?

thanks!

    • If that's your website, delete robots.txt before auth passed.
      • thank you! I'll try it.
        • Are you a webmaster? Is this post intent to ad your site to Rolians? I am wondering.
          • I'm not a web master. actually this simple site is created just for solving this technical issue. the actual website is using another domain.
      • after i deleted the robots.txt file and verified it again, google still return the same error message. any idea?
        • it's so strange:) confirm website address, try again later, or try other confrim method, or semd an email to google, etc.
          • I'm not sure if Google checks reverse DNS or not during verification. When I executed TRACERT, it returned an IP rather than our domain as Host Name this is the only clue I can get.
