本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛“Get up! John it’s time to go to school, you better not miss the bus because I will not give you a ride.” That was John’s mother’s threat, although she never stood true to it.
“Argh…” John turned his head and looked at his clock “blah, it’s only 7:35... There is still 5 more minutes...” John thought and closed his eyes once again.
“What are you doing? Get up already!” another yell came from down stairs, John’s mother was getting more obnoxious
“Blah… I think I should just pull myself together and get up… I won’t be feeling so sleepy once I’m up.” John thought as he sat up and searched for his clothes.
“Took you forever, here’s your food. The bus is almost here you better hurry up.” Said John’s mom.
“Oh crap, it’s 7:48. Damn it! The bus will be here in less than 5 minutes!” John thought as he ran upstairs fast as a wolf to grab his schoolwork, some food, money and other things he needed and ran out of the door to the bus, and not stopping and listen what his mom was saying…
“Holy shit.” John let out a cry when he slipped and fall to the floor. “What the hell?! Where the heck did all these ice came from?! Damn…” John looked over to the food that is now ant’s food “Well, so much for breakfast. At the least I can still make it before the bus goes, right?” John got up, being more caution about what’s going on.
“Almost there! This turn will determine my fate! Hmm…” John looked back and saw this girl who takes the bus with him. “Oh man that chick is hot I would tap tha…..”*Crack* went the ice below John, he fall again but this time he get to experience the joy of all mighty face-plant-into-ice. For whole 10 seconds John lay there cursing out of pain and agony
“Are you okay?” With a worried tone, the girl asked. “Do you need any help?”
“Nah I’m fine” John got up, “Well I guess you saw that.”
“Of course I did” The girl giggled and smiled” You were right in front of me! Don’t worry I won’t tell anyone”
“Heh, thanks” said John as they both walk towards the last corner…
“There is nobody there… I guess the bus already went... I HATE LIFE!!” John said.
“Cheer up if we start walking to school we can still make it.” The girl said.
“It’s such a long walk… and it’s so cold… I’m hungry too…and my face hurt” John complained
“Oh stop being a baby do I need to kiss it and make it better?” the girl smiled with smirk on her face.
“I’m not really against that idea.” John thought as he smiled.
“I never got your name yet.” The girl said.
“Oh, it’s John.” Said John “And yours?
“Sylvanas.” She smiled.
“Oh wow, that’s an awesome name! I wish I had some kind of unique name. John is so overused! Thieves, I tell ye’ they’re all stealing my name!” Said John
“Unique huh, I guess you cal say that” Sylvanas said. “So… How old are you?”
“14, I’m in 9th grade.” John stated “And you?”
“I’m 18, last year of school for..”
“Wait what???? You’re 18??? But… you look like 15!” John cut in the conversation very surprised.
“I know, lots of people tell me that.” Sylvanas said.”I wish I was 15 again…” As the wind blew in the silence they walked to school together.
About 15 minutes later they finally arrived at school they both went to their own classes. The first class for John was Science.
“Oh wow, there is about 10 people here what happened to everybody?” He whispered to his friend Ben.
Ben was surprised by John and said. “Oh you didn’t know? Ice rain man, all buses are cancelled, I’m here because I don’t take the bus. Don’t you watch the weather channel?” Hearing what Ben has said John fall onto the desk as he was just been hit by a lighting, his eyes widened in complete fear, after all that 20 minutes walking in the icy cold weather starved, only to find out he could’ve stayed at home… Lost in his mind he thought life was over. He went to school when he could’ve stayed home… That is one sin no one could forgive! Any normal kid would’ve slapped him for being stupid, how could he live knowing what he has done?!
“Hey John pat attention please, you already came in late.” His teacher yelled. Snap back to reality. He sat there stunned, like a loser he puts his head on the table in defeat.
