You are also required to carry the insurance paper with you whenever you operate a vehicle. Together with your driver's licn. and the registeration of the vehicle (even if you do not own it).
Section B is medical insurance and will cover medical cost for person (driver or passengers) injuryed in an accident. Other people injuryed will be compensated by the Section A.

What is Third Party Insurance (TPI)?

TPI indemnifies vehicle owners and drivers who are legally liable for personal injury to any other road user in the event of a motor vehicle accident. Your TPI insurance will cover you for personal injury claims made against you by other road users such as drivers, passengers, pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists and pillion passengers.

It is a compulsory form of insurance and the TPI premium is included in your registration payment.

but if you are in the wrong and you cause damage to the vehicle that you are driving, you are liable for the cost of fixing that vehicle. If you are right, the other people will pay for the cost of repair. There is also this problem of deductable, that means you have to pay for the deductable amount even if you have insurance to cover the cost of repair (if you are wrong.... costing the accident)

没贴错. THIRD PARTY, PERSONAL INJURY都是出了事情被起诉的, 如果你一穷二白, 就很少人起诉了. 所以买这种LIABILITY保险, 要考虑自己的身家. 没多少钱, 保太高, 好象不值. 如果身家几许, 保得不够, 很惨 -dropoutinmiami(东北的饺子); 2002-4-10 (#449312@0)
