I am anxious to know how everything turns out, this is her first time flying by herself. Nervous nervous......I am a mom, no wonder that I am nervous.
A bit impression of unaccompanied minor program......
1. Price tag is high....First you have to purchase an adult ticket for the kid, so in my case, it is around $250 already. Then you have to pay $100 per trip.
2. I get the privilege to accompany her to the boarding gate, which is really nice. We went through the security clearance gate, and had lunch in the cafeteria. My daughter felt comfortable, because I was still with her all the time
3. We are called before everybody else. So theoretically she can be the first person to board the plane. Unfortunately, we were still at the cafeteria while they called us, so we missed the chance. But I got to spend more time to with my daughter, we are ok with whether she boards first or not.
4. Since she missed the chance of being the first to board, we had to wait until everybody else all on board. So we just sat there waiting patiently.
5. The lady checked her in is really nice. She first checked out who was sitting besides my daughter, a couple, the gentleman was supposed to sit beside my daughter. Then she checked another line, with one vacant seat, but a gentleman was already in the aisle seat, so she did not feel comfortably. She said she is more comfortable with a couple sitting beside my daughter. …….In the next few minutes, she was busy working on the computer, then she told me that she arranged a 3 seat to my daughter, with nobody sitting in that line………so basically she has 3 seats to herself, and she can lie down and put her feet straight…….what a nice arrangement!!
6. So far, I am really happy with the program. Money well deserved.
