1. 具体程序
a) download the application form from the school's website.
b) SSAT is required by some schools e.g. UTS. BUT others may require different tests, e.g. ISEE for UCC.
c) register your child for the test ASAP since the spaces are filled quickly
d) attend the open house of the school so your child will have a chance to decide if he/she likes the school
e) cross your fingers if you hope he/she will get in

a) get some books on SSAT such as Princeton Review and Kaplan
b) follow the instructions on the books
c) Any tutoring is needed? Yes and No.
If you have a lot of $$$, yes. If you think your child is behind in certain area, yes.
For some kids, extra help on writing is helpful though writing is not counted in the final grade.

You could try ask your kid to memorize words. But most kids won't take it. Some writing classes are helpful. If your kid is very good in math, just ask her/him to finish the exercises in the books.
