For those applying to Ontario schools, the Ontario University Application Center has its first application deadline mid-month. See www.ouac.on.ca/ for details.
Late January:
Put the finishing touches on your applications and mail off any that are due in February.
*Tip: When reviewing your applications, be sure to read all the directions from the university carefully! According to Andrew Arida, Associate Director of Enrollment at the University of British Columbia, most mistakes applicants make are the result of not reading carefully and consequently, missing important deadlines or neglecting to send in essential materials.
February:
Several universities, such as McGill, have application deadlines starting in early February. Entrance scholarship deadlines also start this month.
*Tip: When you mail in your application, also apply for student housing if you’re thinking of living on campus. You can always turn down a housing offer, but it’s difficult to get a spot last minute if you failed to apply early on.
March:
Use March break to visit your top choice universities. Most schools, such as The University of British Columbia, The University of Western Ontario, and Queens University have March Break events for visiting high school students.
April–May:
Decision letters should start arriving in April and continue through May.
*Tip: Note the conditions on your acceptance letter. You still must send in your final high school grades and accept the admissions offer in order for your place to be confirmed. Don’t miss these deadlines or your offer can be revoked!
June –July:
Accept offers of admission and housing offers.
Send in your final high school grades by the deadline.
Course registration can start as early as mid-June so choose what classes you want to take and be sure to register as soon as you’re able to in order to get into your top choices.
Begin making moving plans if you’re relocating, and get ready to have an exciting year!更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
