As far as I know the game plays like this: if you use your own policy to cover the rental car, you bet your premium will raise next time you renew it...

but if you use your credit card insurance, chances are you will deal with a completely different underwriters, so your personal insurance company probably won't know your were involved in an at-fault accident and your premium won't be raised until you shop for a new policy with another insurance company (the new company will check your accident record) or you have an accident and your company feels it reasonable to re-check your accident record. The accidents and tickets will remain in your record for 6 years. After that you are off the hook.
