音响发烧友请进,功放买哪个好,求助

不知这里有没有音响发烧友, 下面是我在 AVforum的一帖,转到这里。

Which one i should buy: used DENON 5803 or brand new AVR 890?

I am thinking to upgrade my main speakers and I need to buy a receiver as well:

background:
I bought a home theater system in year 2001: one Onkyo receiver with NHT sb2, sb1, sc1, sw10.
The Onkyo receiver broke and in the past years, 80% to 90% my time was for music listening.10% to 20%
time for video(tv,dvd).

I will upgrade to a pair of Canadian speakers:either Totem Sttaf or Paradigm Studio 100

    • Paradigm Studio Reference 100 requires a lot of power to push it. a receiver (even a high-end one) won't have that kind of power. unless you go with a decent separate setup you are wasting your money buying a pair of Studio 100.
    • Entry Level: Denon 889, 890 or 989 + KEF Speakers.
    • You spend 80-90% time on music, why don't you get a 2-channel amp? for that kind of money, you can get a very good tube amp, for AV, just get a $500 receiver and it's good enough for movies, just my 2 cents..
