The Great Gatsby - Great book. Wonderful language, perfect for advanced English leaner. But it could be very boring for most Chinese readers.

The Call of the Wild – English masterpiece, but don’t touch it unless you have a large vocabulary and fairly comfortable with English.

The Picture of Dorian Gray - Most people won’t understand it, even half way through the book.

The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt – Plain English, but could be very boring for people who are not interested in history. You can put it on your must read list because Theodore Roosevelt was a remarkable person and you could learn a lot from his memoir.

The Brothers Karamazov – Classic novel. It could put a lot of people to sleep, for very advanced English learner.

The Wealth of Nations – Economics and politics 101.
