u had better make ur plan regarding whether to apply for graduate study or not before you come. If you do, get ready for all the documents and English test before your landing. ...

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛after you land somewhere, could be Toronto, then you can apply immidiately. It usually takes around several months before you know where you can study.

There are only UT and York in Toronto, and the competition is strong since many want to stay in Toronto.

So my advice is that people should also consider other schools. That probably would offer you more choices, less time. It doesn't matter so much which school you graduate from. On the other side, as long as it offers graduate program, that school is not bad here in Canada.

-------------------------------

After your graduation, maybe you want to search job in the local city your school is at first. Usually you and the department have some connections with local businesses or governments.

You can also move back to Toronto, which is definitely the business center of Canada. Many business headquarters here. More chances for business related students than anywhere else. (more competition, too.)

--------------------------------

Conclusion 4 you:
Study - not limit to Toronto
Work - The city your school in & Toronto (better in the long run)更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net

    • professor
    • ur major: economics or MBA or business related (finance, marketing,...). depends on ur interests. If MA of Econ., could be an analyst for business or consulting company or government.
If PhD, ideal job would be professor or economist.

          • Dear Starinfo,I really appreciate your help.我是想留学,可能与你说的“after you land somewhere, could be Toronto, then you can apply immidiately.
            • considering 70% Chinese students in Canada want to pursue immigrantship, u had better decide if you want to do the same thing right now. If you don't care this, that's OK ...
GRE, depends on ur major. If majoring in Physics, chemistry, economics, since most of your competitiors will take G, u had better take G too.

If you don't feel you have enough time to handle all of these, could adjust ur plan, like admission in 2005.
