To most of China born Canadian immigrants, US is still a dream land. But we may give up the dream after we have settled down in Canada, also a beautiful country. I had been working for a large engineering firms in Canda for over six years before I came to the U.S. I have become an engineering manager in Canada and came to the U.S. for a similar position in a new program servicing a large oil company. Initially I came for a short term assignment under TN to help set up the program, but later the company decided that I should remain to oversee the ongoing activities. That's how I started the GC process. Luckily I had supports from corporate level management. We are a very large company, so sometimes thing could go in circles and go nowhere. Following up closely is important. That's all I can say for the GC application.
