I have a cheque account in both TD and Royal Bank .....

I have a cheque account in both TD and Royal Bank and a VISA in Royal Bank. The question is: Do I really need two accounts instead of one? I have being taking Royal Bank for most of my financial needs. I heard that some people have one cheque account in one of big Canadian banks.

Another question is about credit card. Some articles in Rolia say that you should have all of three common credit cards for your convenience. What I am thinking is that, if you want to spend money (you have money), lack of a particular card will not stop you from spending in any way.

I prefer to make life simple.

    • 1.无所谓。用处不大的账户可以关闭。关闭之前记得确认有没有服务费，因为有些银行开户时间太短就关，要另收服务费的。2.信用卡不关是否花钱的事，只是不方便而已。我以前遇到过收visa不收master的店，现在那家2种都收了。 -fionah(); 2003-1-10 (#968480@0)

      Just in case you couldn't use one of debet card under some condition, the problem either from the cashier or the bank itself like TD last year.
