多数华人房东都是私租,没有在政府备案,房客也是私住,这种情况比较麻烦,如果不是要把关系搞僵,这样告的话,政府会不会从租住关系的合法性开始调查并调解呢?如果有的朋友有sue成功的例子,最好贴出来给我们点启发. -mqu27(mqu27); 2001-5-13 (#69512@0)

this is sort of chinese mentality, 把关系搞僵? we new immi must transform our conventional xin tai, it dosnt work here , very often. he/shecharge you without leniency, business is business, if 从租住关系的合法性开始调查, it is the landlord, not the tenant, who shuld be rsponsible for any possible legistimate issue.

是的,我是传统的中国人,我也知道新移民找房子的难处,我曾在半年内搬了3次家,不让洗衣服真是小CASE,我的第三个房东1月份都不开暖气,那又怎么样呢,她们也是新移民,私租house在分租,如果当时我sue她们的话,一点问题也没有,但像老外控诉一个中国人尤其是一个新移民我作不到,在提了几次意见后,我放弃了,找屋另租,另一方面也是怕麻烦,学习工作就忙不过来,在把时间搭进去很不值.也许我的观念是要改改了,作一个厚道的人真是很吃亏.不过我的朋友都说最喜欢我的就是不计较小事.另外恶人终有报偿,那个房东最后的下场很惨,报应啊. -mqu27(mqu27); 2001-5-13 {345} (#69532@0)

There is no adminstrations for private house rental. So if you are a tanent, you are always legal. If your are a landlord, you are always legal if you honestly report your income.Toronto is a strange city, where rental price is higher than mortage. This is caused by the great amount of new immigrant and by the greedy landowners. I do think some law should come into birth to regulate the rental market.
