I've almost exact same situation as yours. So, I'm also worrying if we can go into Canada without refusion. Everyone who has similar experiences please give some idea! Great thanks!

with valid I-20, you can back to US within 30 days even another F1 application rejected. check with international student office in your school.

thanks, mssg. I fear that the US customs will see the Canada immigration stamp on my passport. Has anyone tried and succeeded?

why US cares about your Canadian immigration status? ask your ISO for any latest visa policy.

Sorry, I don't mean to long winded, but the office needs to check and see how many days I stayed in Canada, right? This is the logic behind my fear.

no, ISO will put a stamp on your I-20, they don't even care how long you stay. if you want to be safe, back in 30 days, overcome your fear, dear.

Thanks a mill. I think I'll go landing around this time next year. On the other hand, I heard that one guy is stuck in Canada now because he applied for an F-1 after landing and was rejected. Scared at hearing that.

Oh, actually, you cannot use a valid I-20 to come back to the States IF YOU APPLIED FOR AN F-1 AND IS REJECTED. This is the current rule, changed after 9/11.

I happened to know one who did it 6 months after 9-11., you don't need another F1 to get back US as far as I understand unless you want a trip back to China. Again check with you ISO
