1 bed room apartment will be fine. You may consider basement or 1-room as well.

How big is one bed room apt., I mean what is included in it? does it include one bath room(toilet), one bed room, one kicten, and one living room? just like chinese "一室一厅".and Does this one bed room apt. cost around 1k CAD per month in Toronto?

The living room is usually bigger than what we have in China, and the cost is from 850 to 1000 or more.
