You need to pay the money you save from US government to Canadian government. Why bother?

Off course it matters. US government takes the money but not give you benefits.If one worked less than 183 days, he can claim non-resident status, but a non-resident pay even more tax to US government.
if you are relly not residing in USA, try incorporate in Canada and ask your employer to convert you to a third party contractor.

Actually US government will give you pension and medicare when you are 65. But I don't think I can take advantage of medicare (for prescription). Maybe you are talking about other benefit like EI?

Do not expect it if you work less than 10 years. Many Canadians (working in US) dream that, which is not true.And when you retire, I doubt that any pension will exist.

工作10年可以享受SSN. medicare不太确定, 好象要求高一点, 要求PR.
