如果你拿到的是VISA，当然可以用VISA回美。我觉得你申请的是STATUS。境内调整，但你在境外拿到。你是以什么身份离开美国的？你自己的情况说的太不清楚，别人怎么帮你回答。

thanks for reply.thanks for reply. my H1-B was just expired at the time I left US. I submitted my H4 two months before that. you are right, I think it is just H4 status adjustment, not the visa. I actually do not know it very well. so I guess I have to apply visa to get back. then what type of visa I should apply now? B1/B2 or H4? I have a job in canada, do I have to wait for a while to show the several pay checks? thanks again

对不起，回复晚了。我个人认为你的H4是有问题的。一般来讲，境内调整身份时期，在拿到STATUS之前，如离开US，调整即作废。如果你离开美国时没什么记录，既美国也不知你什么时候离开美国的话，可以试试。30天是按离开美国那天算。 个人意见，仅供参考。

Many thanksI should be ok if I return US within this month.
the status was approved by the end of March. I just got it late. and I left US at April 1st. so my status is still valid, and my 30 days is still valid so far. I might just enter US border once a month to keep this status. by car. since I have not got my Maple card, the air plane is not good way for me.

If I use this visa status to enter US within 30 days I left the US, I should be able to use Re-validation of the H4 visa, right?
