First, Congrats. Second, I suppose that the new process of H1B VISA is in effect now.I heard the new computerized process will eliminate the paper work dramatically and shorten the waiting time. However, I am still supprised that it only took 4 days in your case.

You should try to stay with TN for as long as possible. You cannot renew your h1b after 5yrs.

Cannot transfer from H1 to TN. Of course you can transfer from TN to H1.

Not true. You can renew H1 forever as long as Labor/I-140 is pending.
