i am really confused, please give me more detail. If I go back canada for vacation and come back to US, what can I tell US custom office, just walk in ?. I guess they will ask me my H1-B status in US and give me a stamp , right?

You need to get visa again after 3 months. Chinese H1 usually only 3 months.
