Nice City. HQ of Michelin North America. Has BMW & Fuji plant. Very hot in summer. Been there twice, havn't seen a Chinese yet. What kind of job have you got? - curious:-)

Food and house(no basement) are a lot cheaper than Toronto. Education - no idea. You can google their local newspaper for more info.

You can rent a townhose with US$800, or if you go into black town you can get $400 for 1 bedroom utility included. Great golf places everywhere.But 6-month is a little short.

Chinese in US only live in really big cities, eg. NY, Boston, SF, etc. For other small cities, it's really hard to find Chinese.I live in Minneapolis with about 2.5mil population, but when I walk on the street, I'm pretty much the only Chinese.

In US many nice cities have only 5% minority population (black and asian all included). Most chinese are living there because of working. You cam also find some Taiwanese and Korean doing low-level labors there.

We Chinese don't like to be in the middle of no where, that place is too far away from the major cities --the largest city close to Greenville is Atlanta, it's still 3 hours away.

Raleigh 情况前几年一直不好，因为不少HITECH公司都是和TELECOM有关的。最近不知道了。
