回中国无论多长时间你都需要你的公司律师出具一些材料；
回加拿大一个月之内返回无需任何材料。超过一个月就同回中国一样了。

I thought i can only apply a TN via a Canadian port of entry. If I'm coming from oversea, how can I re-apply a TN?

I guess it's just rewrite your I-94 form, may not be a real "new" TN. However, our TNs are so attached with I-94s, sometimes people don't care what's the real legal context.

yes you can. however when you re-enter US, you need to get a new I-94.

I was asked to re-apply one when I was back from China in Seattle Sea-Tac airport. I was not requested for any documents though even I brought employment letter with me at that time.It seems much easier based on your current TN and issue you a new one.
