谢谢提醒,但有没有人就因此失去PR身份呢?如果配偶对方是公民就不会受影响了呢?我指两口子都申请非税务居民,一个以公民身份,一个以PR身份.能确定PR一方肯定不会因申请非税务居民而产生负面影响吗?有没有人有过类似经历或经验呀?谢谢!

I didn't see CIC say that one needs to be canadian resident for tax purpose in order to keep his/her Permanent Resident status.It only requires that the PR lives with canadian citizen spouse abroad to keep the PR status.

but non-resident for tax purpose usually grant to people who has no intention tocome back to live in Canada. And keeping PR status means you want to come back someday. So I think there is some problem here, not with CIC (since your spouse is a citizen), but with tax agent.

I have phoned TAX Agency. They do not know! HELP!!! Is there any government agency I may contact? I have phoned Service Canada and nobaby answer the phone! Any other number? Please...

Why do you want to ask CCRA about your PR status problem? It's taken care of at CIC. Tax and PR status are not necessarily related. What are you worried about?
