Can I still use China passport and H1B to go back and work in US ? or I have to apply TN visa ? legally, i don't think so. whether it could be caught is another story. basically, the chinese passport is illegal traveling document after he becomes canada citizen.

I also think it's illegal. As you become Canadian, you are not Chinese any more. You should not use China passport. I may try, but it's my own risk. I guess driving through border may be easier than flying.

Heard from company legal staff : I can apply at the U.S. port of entry for admission in H status on new Canadian passport. need to show old Chinese passports with H visa and I-797. Anyone heard of that?

I did ask for another H1B I-94 at POE when I got my Canadian citizenship. I was told "Why do you want to spend extra 6$?" by the INS officer.Then I said "ok, forget it." You can do it, but it is not necessary. Either using your Chinese passport or Canadian passport will work. US treats both of them VALID travel documents.

Which port of entry to US nearby Toronto is not so strict? last time I fly to US from Toronto airport with H1B, a male INS officer is hostile, he ask me why don't you go back to China? Is it his business?!

中国护照是否有效，不是由美国或加拿大政府来认定，而是中国政府来定义的。中国政府声明了，中国护照有效期只有5年，超过五年以后，你们各个国家就别再当它是有效的护照了,所以超过中国政府定的一个日期的那个护照其他国家就不承认了。同理，

Ask legal cordinator, the best way is to apply H status on new canada passport, which could be done at border. She did not say "NO" for using old china passport after becoming canadian.
