This article reminds me of my early days in Montreal. that was 5 years ago. I lived in a basement in order to save some $s, walked long way to save traffic expense..., hard time, really. single guy...but I am an ambitious guy and beared all hardship for my dream..., never lose your dream, although you can't see it right away, but walk in that direction. you will get what you want. I am leading a comfortable life now. follow the way to your dream!

try to go out to make more friends, you will feel much better. Take more workshop if you don't work.Maybe you can take some part-time job (doesn't matter labour or professional) before you get a IT job.
Be positive. Usually we take around 1 year to get a professional job.
