哪位用ROGERS CABLE上网的，是不是不能换机器或换网卡呀？我换了台机器怎么得不到IP地址呀？

如果你的cable modem只能分配一个IP，如果换了网卡，在旧的IP没有过期以前新网卡是不能得到IP的。1.用原来的网卡2.改网卡的MAC地址

检查你的机器名，必须和rogers给你的机器名一样。我在downtown是这样。但是很奇怪，在richmondhill朋友家就无所谓，机器名不一样也可以。

我的机器名已经改了，但依然得不到IP。不知道和适配器地址有没有关系？另外，我在太古买的网线，也不知道通不通，这里也没有测网线工具，是不是网卡和CABLE MODEM的灯都亮，就代表网线是通的？

normally, if green LEDs are ON on both side, the line should be oK, and I think you should check your NIC's advance Properties, normally, you should select 10Mbps speed, For some NIC, auto sense is bullshit
