Social worker would know where to find resources from government to help your mother. You did a great job to help your mother by speaking it out! If you are still in school, you can ask social worker in school first. They have their own network.Don't worry about $$$ now. Find out how what resources can help your mother first.

我不是很清楚，可以问问你的家庭医生，她们或许有资源和渠道可以帮你找心理医生等；这些事也不能着急，也不能想当然她就是不健康不对什么的，她的经历让别人很难能站到她的立场理解她的心路历程，耐心外，要知道什么时候放手let it be.

Another suggestion but you need to work with her. You do volunteer work at any Chinese senior home; you let her know. You disucss with the social workers at senior home to find some volunteer work that requires no human interface, i.e. no talking.Then you bring your mother and do the same job with her. You are her only bridge to outside world.

Thank you! I'm recently applying for senior house volunteer, but havn't got a reply. I will ask my mom to go with me as well.but why do you think non-human interface would be a good idea for her? i was hoping she could get more involved with the people and the community, that way she's able to understand other better. It is just step 1. Do you think she is ready to suddenly talk to a lot of people? Phase approach. Let her get use to the environment and know the people first. And hope other people can EARN her trust first!Once she starts saying hello to everyone or is willing to go without you, then you can ask for another job which involve more people interaction.
You go there to do volunteer first, a few weeks later you tell your mother there are too much works and ask her to give you a hand and come with you.
Keep calling! Do you mind to tell me the major intersection near your home and see if I can find some more senior home for you.
