枫下茶话 / 法律 / 我去年住进一个公寓，当时签了一年的合同到6月底，今年5月底搬出，4月初通知管理员，搬出时交了100元的管理费，因为他们6月没有租出去，今天接到律师电话，说我欠交6月的房租，不知道该不该交这笔钱。
请大家指点该怎么办。

1. Check for the document you signed when you pay the 100 administration fee. 2. Personally, I think: you shouldn't pay the 100 bill, and you have to pay for the month of Jun. 3. Check the url:

Thank you. But I have paid $100. I viewed the signed document of short notice. It says this $100 is not breaking fee.I called ORHT, the representive told me I don't have to pay the last rent.I didn't read it clearly because I was very busy at that time.
I am confused now.

$100 is for advertising........sigh! I plan to apply small claim court.

They can charge you for advertising when you break the contract. The question is: How much should they charge?You could ask them for prove when / when they did that advertisement (besides their usual ones). According to ORHT, they can only charge you for what they spend.

I read the short notice again. It says I have obligation to pay rent until the end of my 60 days period. I notified them at the beginning of April. Is it means that I don't have to pay the rent of June?

As far as my understanding, your 60 days period refers to Apr. and May, right? If that's true, I think you don't need to pay rent for June. but you'd better check this with some legal services, or ORHT.

我认为你应该交最后一个月的房租，因为当初你签的是1年的lease，如果你搬出后landlord没有把房子租出去的话，那么你仍然要交房租一直到你的lease结束。我提前搬出时landlord就是这样说明的，但是只要他们把房子租出去了，就会退你的房租。

你如果是4月初通知，5月底搬出，就不是提前2个月，你应该在3月底通知。
