相约北美 / 探亲团聚 / 担保资格的审核需要多长时间您好！现有一个问题想了解。我爱人已经移民到加拿大，现在他在加拿大向当地移民局提出申请，担保我移民，当地移民局需要对他进行担保资格的审核，我想知道这个审核需要多长时间，移民局方才可以确认他是否可以为我担保，然后将申请表格寄给他？

It's said that within 8 weeks. 审核担保资格需要8周,批准后收到被担保人的申请表,等资料集齐后再送到签证处(北京或香港),再需六个月才能拿到签证.

好象不必吧。其它材料早就可以集齐呀，就差这个Sponsorship Approval Letter,一收到马上可以和原先准备好的材料一起寄到北京使馆的，对吧？

I had a wrong impression about it because I ever read some articles here talking about sponsoring process where they got reply pretty fast. So I have to be very patient now! How bad that is!
