if your moving is paid my your company, your company normally will recommend a relocation service to you. And they should be very professional. They will pack everything for you carefully and you just sit and watch. And company normally will give you 1 to 2 years to do that.
If it is paid by yourself, most house goods in US is very cheap. So you can sell all the things in Canada then buy at US. something maybe cheaper then moving cost
