Senior Engineer, 8.5W in Tx almost like 10w in toronto in terms of the spending power. the property price and living cost in all TX is low. but property tax is high

thx,日常消费开销是低，房子一般的就20w，好一点的区也就40w，比这里不是差一点半点。
缺点是气候和身份问题

Are you sure this for TNers? Remember the median income in TX is far below than CA, NY or NEW ENGLAND areas and just similar with Wyoming or Kansas. Is this not applied to IT workers?

Living costs in Austin are significantly higher than other major cities in Texas.Housing is not inexpensive if you want to be close to good schools and good communities. Property taxes are ridiculously high and it basically offsets the advantage of no state income tax. My son has piano talent so Austin is a city having a bit of musical environment for him. But if you ask me where to live if I had the choice all over again, I would not hesitate to say Austin.
