枫下茶话 / 美国话题 / 请问大家，如果现在开始申请绿卡－－EB2。大约需要多长时间可以填I-485表？
另外，是否需要家人也要在美国？因为孩子在上大学，不想转学。

现在形式很差，需要6年才能拿到卡。近一两年内不会有任何变化。家人不需要在美国，连你都不需要在美国呆着，如果你能找到公司帮你办的话。

For Oct, 2012, EB2 to GC cut off date is July 15,2007. So it is 5 yrs already.
then you have to add 6mons to 1year for Perm(I-140) approval before that.So Assuming every process is smooth, 6 years is about the right time to get GC.
But why you need that GC with your kid already grown up?
